This module is based upon a course taught in the “School for State modernization”.

 

 

 

OBJECTIVES

 

The Directorate General for Modernization of the State (DGME), created by decree of December 30, 2005, is a branch of the Ministry of Budget, Public Accounts and State Reform.

Initiated by the DGME, the School for State Modernization wants to give a common background to modernizers, public managers in charge of the implementation of reforms, and aims to facilitate pooling of best practices as well as feedbacks of experience.

This very training is part of the curriculum of the school. Its objectives are as follows :

·          Identifying the specific features of the information systems in the public sector

·          Understanding the particular requirements for the IS governance in central government, territorial administration and healthcare sector.
