Introduction
___________
This book is, of course, reflected in the manual
"Management of Information Systems", in the same collection, but it doesn’t
constitute a digest of it.
It was designed with three objectives:
1. Be the natural complement of the reference
book;
2. Be a stand-alone book well suited to preparing
for tests of the examination;
3. Building a reminder to meet with professional
practice.
We changed the order of topics, defined by the
official program, so as to synchronize the usual chronological sequence of the
steps of a project, within the case study designed to provide a « guiding
light ».
This case study, dedicated to the deployment of an
ERP within an food processing company, will allow you to discover the sequence of
decisions to be taken by the manager of IS in the life cycle of the project.
This requirement leads naturally to the
organization we have chosen for the memo sheets and the associated exercises
(Practice) that make up this book.
