This course is regularly provided since 2003 to Telecom SudParis -Telecom Management School. in the framework of the curriculum “Engineering of IS”.

 

OBJECTIVES

In recent years, the principle of the Balanced Scorecard has been applied to the management of IS in the business. This falls within the broader context of another concept, that of the "IS governance”, itself the result of the application of the concept of "Corporate governance" in the field of information systems.

Is this a new fad, a recurring phenomenon in the field of Information Technology, or a trend that reflects the deep awareness of real needs?

At the end of the training, each trainee should:

·         get ownership of the concept of IS governance and of the importance of best practices in this area.

·         be able to define role, mission and responsibilities of people involved in the governance of an information system.

This course targets all leaders involved in direct management or supervision of a body in charge of design, deployment and implementation of an information system.

·         Students with a master's degree embarked into university studies addressing the issue of information systems ;

·         Students from « Grandes Ecoles » (Engineering, commerce and management) in the French higher education system.
